The Discovery Cube Orange County is a leading destination for hands-on science entertainment. The ideal candidate for the job will have a strong commitment to the Discovery Cube’s mission and will have at least ten years of progressive nonprofit fund development experience. The candidate must have a track record of success in raising six figure donations and must be able to work effectively with a variety of constituencies. In addition, the candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of how best to leverage the talents of the Board of Directors and finance department to meet annual fundraising goals.
The VP of Development will create and execute a development strategy to attract both corporate and individual donors. The incoming VP of Development will cultivate major donors and help Discovery Cube achieve its yearly fundraising goals. He or she will create and implement a vision for fund development, develop strategies for building and maintaining a network of supporters, and manage the development team. The VP of Development will oversee a team of six people and report directly to the CEO.
The Discovery Cube has been around for over 35 years and has a mission to bring science to life.
